TECNO's EllaClaw AI agent can act inside your apps
EllaClaw is still in closed beta, but it points toward phone AI that does tasks rather than only answering questions.

TECNO is testing EllaClaw, an that can manage phone tasks and take actions inside supported apps, rather than only answering questions.
The company describes EllaClaw as an exploratory concept in internal testing and closed beta development. Its demos include system-level care, such as monitoring battery-draining apps or data usage, and cross-app actions such as shopping help or ride hailing.
The interesting part is who TECNO reaches. Its phones are widely used across Kenya and other emerging markets, so agent-style AI does not have to remain a feature reserved for the most expensive flagships.
As with any phone agent, the practical questions are access, consent, reliability, and recovery. If an assistant can act inside your apps, it must also show what it is doing and ask before it changes something important.
